The red one's clearly a mix of Audi TT S-line lower half, Roadjet concept front and A3-ish side windows. The combo makes for a handsome, if rather predictable, luxo-hatch. The blue one is garish, a bloated baroque shape in Mercedes-on-a-bad-day style.Personally, I think the next A3 needs to be a bit more radical than this to counter the attacks from the BMW 1-series, Volvo C30 and the long-rumored small Saab. It'll also need to be just that to mask the fact that, most likely, Mk III's platform will be a carry-over from the current generation's (just as it'll be for Golf VI).
