This spy shot is proof that Mazda has not just been teasing us with it's recent concepts (the Nagare, Ryuga and Geneva's Hakaze), but is actually hard at work on introducing the new design language in its production cars. New cars' styling will major on flow much more than the firm's current edgy offerings.
The car presented here is the upcoming replacement to the unloved, Ford Fusion (EU)-based tall-box. It looks more dynamic not only than it's predecessor, but also than most other cars in its class. The profile sure looks interesting, sort of a rounded Civic, while the rear is short and the front overhang far from excessive. Combined with a distinctive new face, as previewed on the three aforementioned concepts, the little Mazda2 could go straight to the top of its class.
