This begs the question "Why?!?". Does Ford really think the consumers have a positive sentiment towards a car whose name has become synonymous with Crappy Rental?
Also, I think that Ford should not have grafted its undeniably handsome Fusion-esque new corporate face onto such boring turds as the 500/Freestyle. Before, the Fusion was a "Ford Apart", a genuinely exciting model in an otherwise mediocre range. Now, it's impact on the customers will be diminished by a whole fleet of copycat faces. Reminds me of the late Rover's rebadging of the 200 and 400 as 25 and 45 after they debuted the handsome 75.
