Nip and Tuck for the Boxster

I know changes to the exterior are very minor, but somehow the new front looks a whole lot better to me. The headlamps are a little edgier, while the bumper is more chiseled and less droopy - all this adds up to a much more aggressive appearance, not unlike that of the new Cayenne. Only there the front is grafted onto a tank, here it's where it belongs: on a sports car. Meantime, the taillights become LED, as with the upcoming 911 restyle.

With the next round of restyles, Porsche will switch their engines in the Boxster/Cayman/911 to direct injection. Although no figures have yet been published, expect a bump in power and torque by a couple bhp and Nm, respectively. More importantly, though, the new injection system should reduce fuel consumption by 5-15%, depending on driving style.
